Residents from Mariposa Elderly Care Roseway House worked alongside KS2 pupils this afternoon to add to our fabulous “Weeping Window” instillation.

As they painted, pupils heard about what the residents had done during the Second World War.  An impromptu singalong also made for an enjoyable afternoon.

I spent an enjoyable afternoon painting poppies with KS2 children and our special visitors.A memory I will never forget of a rendition of” It’s a long way to Tipperary”,which brought a huge lump to my throat. Thank you to everyone. from Mrs Ramshaw.

Bret and Brad had a fabulous time painting the poppies and they loved hearing about the Second World War especially the conversation Bret had about the Wellington. Thank you to the Gentleman who made Bret’s day. Bret loves Military Planes and found his afternoon with the residents a day to remember.
